This is my favorite breakfast dish!
Yes, it is not as fancy as a full English Breakfast, or a Masala Dosa.
However, this is simple and healthy. It is especially beneficial to the digestive system.
Properties of Millet
Nature: Cool
Flavor: Sweet, Salty
Meridian Attributes: Spleen, Stomach, Kidney Meridians
Action: Tonify Spleen and Stomach Qi.
Suitable: For people who have a weaker digestive system (such as nausea, diarrhea, vomiting, etc.)
Ingredients (Serves: 3-4)
Millet – 100g
Water – 1.5L
Goji Berry (Optional) – 20g
Instructions
- Wash the Millet then drain.
- Soak the Goji Berry in Water
- Add the washed Millet and Water into a pot. Bring to a boil, then lower the heat to a simmer and cook uncovered for about 30 minutes. (Stir regularly and Skim the foam with a strainer if needed)
- Turn off the heat then stir in the goji berries.
